I have been working with Warp Drive on a new prop to give me more top end speed and a little less take off speed. If you haven't noticed on the video my RV12 Viking has a very rapid take off. Last week a friend in his RV9A was behind me and said my take off was about 200 ft. and at the thousand foot marker I was about 100 ft. AGL. This is great but I'm on a 6,000 ft runway and could roll a little longer. Recently there was a good article in Kit Plane with Dave Martins plane on the cover. If you read the article his takeoff roll was 750 ft with a standard Rotax. Note: I borrowed his paint scheme for my plane, sorry Dave. My new blades arrived today with the new "higher aspect ratio" and I hope to put them on tomorrow and test results. I will start as 15 degrees as this is the area I had the most problems. I will be posting the test results as soon as I finish. Ron Russ RV12 Viking N97HV
