I am not aware of a TFR so 12Town members post your status of your project as of January 2012.
I am 60% done with the finish kit and expect to start the power kit in a few weeks. Still on track for paint in April.

Has anyone had issues putting the washer and nut on the tube valve stem?
I have one wheel together, but the other one doesn't have enough thread for the nut to bite.

I just found this site - looks good and reading through all of the blogs.
The below blog I posted a few days ago on VAF:
I am building an RV12 as an Experimental Amateur built (EAB). I am keeping it as close to the ELSA builders plans even though it is an EAB. I am using my current avionics and Rotex from my light sport.
Does anyone have any pictures of their EAB built rv12 panel? I am installing in my current Grand Rapids (2 displays), Garmin Stack, the new…
Dave,
Thanks for the query. I'm located just north of Detroit, Michigan. I belong to EAA Chapter 13 out of Ray Community Airport (57D). I'm building my RV-12 to ELSA standards and I have completed the plane up to the Avionics Kit which was ordered during the last week of January. I expect to begin fight testing in early Spring.
I am a sport pilot and own a sport hornet that is 2 years old (it was on the cover of the EAA sport mag a few years ago) - taking the Rotax, avionics, and a few other things off of it to use in the RV. The Rotax has 130 hours and is the 2000 tbo. You can go to http://www.rv12pilot.com/david/ to see that plane.
As I said in my post I am building as a EAB so I can use parts, makes it a very cost effective plane since I have the major cost covered.
Status Finish Epenage complete, started the wings and Fuselage comes first week in Nov with 3 weeks vacation plan on getting alot done before the end of the year.
Ordered at Oshkosh and well into it with some help from other RV friends. Scheduled paint for April and the Hornet comes apart in Dec.
Welcome aboard David, tell us about your project.
